Wood fiber soup bowls

The bowls are made from 100% wood fiber. 100% biodegradable and compostable.

The wood is sourced entirely from the EU market, mainly from Scandinavia.

This range of wood fiber soup bowls represents the first alternative to disposable catering bowls imported from Asia.

Efficiency Factors

Producing in Europe allows access to the entire European market through much shorter logistics chains compared to Asian imports. It also eliminates the risks of logistical bottlenecks associated with international maritime trade.

Delivery time is reduced to a few days or at most a couple of weeks. This is a significant advantage over importing from Asian markets, where delivery takes months.

For example, shipments from China are associated with significant delays: firstly, because orders need to be integrated into the production schedule, and secondly, because shipping itself presents challenges (finding a free container, etc.).

Importing from the Asian market, and especially from China, involves significant upfront payments and, in most cases, the payment of the entire sum due in advance before the products are dispatched. Thus, the buyer has significant financial resources blocked for several months without actually having the goods on hand and, therefore, without deriving any benefit from them.

Importing from outside the European market is also associated with certain geopolitical/political risks, where unforeseen developments can even affect international trade.

For example, in 2021, several factories in China were completely shut down both to curb the spread of the new coronavirus and to address electricity shortages – a situation that has not yet occurred in the European market.

Lower Carbon Footprint

Long supply chains are a significant source of emissions. Avoiding intercontinental shipping and replacing it with a short European supply chain helps to reduce the overall carbon footprint.

Supporting the EU Economy

Purchasing products made in the European Union, which in turn are made entirely from raw materials originating from the European single market, has a horizontal positive economic impact on other European companies, supporting job creation and bringing additional revenue to EU member states.

High Quality

Due to very strict quality standards, products made in the EU have a prestigious advantage as they incorporate the latest technologies and are of the highest available quality.

Not only businesses, but also end consumers have higher trust and recognition in using products made in the EU compared to those from other markets. This is an additional recognition for the company’s brand.
