Mug printing: ceramic print, UV, sublimation or laser
The mug is a classic branded product because it is used every day for years. Whether the logo lasts depends on the technique: one survives thousands of washes, another fades within the first year. The choice starts with the mug's material and colour.

Four techniques
Ceramic printThe logo is applied and fired into the glaze in a kiln. The most durable, dishwasher safe. Suits logos with one or several colours.
SublimationA full colour image is transferred with heat onto a white mug with a special coating. Suits photos and all over designs, also in small runs. Needs a coated mug.
UV printDigital print with ink cured by UV light. Suits coloured and soft touch surfaces and prints in full colour. Choose a dishwasher resistant UV ink.
Laser engravingThe laser removes the coating or marks the metal. Suits stainless steel travel mugs and coated mugs. It does not wear off because it is not ink.
What the logo costs
On our priced mugs the logo typically costs about €1.46 per piece with sublimation and €2.40 per piece with ceramic print at 100 pieces, excluding VAT and plus a set-up fee. Dishwasher and microwave
Ceramic print handles the dishwasher best.
Sublimation and UV print hold up when the maker has rated them dishwasher safe. Hand washing extends their life.
Metallic inks and stainless steel do not go in the microwave.
Travel mugs are mostly hand washed, check the product care instructions.
